Tabs Home is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page with a customizable grid of tiles and background settings. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is used.
The extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with the developer or any third party. All data stays on your device and in your Chrome sync storage.
The extension stores the following data locally via chrome.storage.sync:
This data is synced across your own Chrome-signed-in devices by Chrome's built-in sync mechanism. The developer has no access to this data.
When you add a new tile, the extension may fetch the destination website to automatically retrieve its title and icon (favicon). This request is made directly from your browser to the website you entered — no data passes through any developer-controlled server.
The extension includes optional search widgets (Google and Yandex). When a search widget is enabled and you type a query into it, the text you type is sent directly from your browser to the corresponding search provider to fetch autocomplete suggestions, and you are taken to that provider's website when you submit the search. These requests go straight to Google or Yandex — no data passes through any developer-controlled server — and are governed by the privacy policy of the respective search provider. If you do not use the search widgets, no such requests are made.
No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts are included in the extension.
The extension does not share, sell, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties under any circumstances.
The extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. It contains no age-restricted content.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please open an issue on the extension's support page or contact the developer directly via the Chrome Web Store listing.
